With Christmas just around the corner, those who continue to embrace the holidays through the end of the year could definitely use some extra cheer.

It’s time to settle into the couch with your fuzzy slippers and hot chocolate–and stream a few holiday movies to get you into the spirit.

Here are the five best holiday movies to stream:

1. “It’s a Wonderful Life”

If you’ve had a tough year, It’s a Wonderful Life will help put things back into perspective. This Christmas classic from 1947 stars James Stuart and Donna Reed and has easily become one of the most recognizable holiday movies of all time. Follow along as distressed George Bailey is met by his guardian angel, Clarence, who shows him all that’s good in his life and world.

2. “Home for the Holidays”

This hilarious film from the late 90’s gives a realistic look at just how chaotic and stressful the holidays can be. When Claudia Larson’s daughter opts to spend Thanksgiving with her boyfriend, Larson is forced to spend the holidays with her own snobby family. The typical awkwardness ensues, but it’s not long before Larson finds someone to make the holiday worth remembering.

3. “The Nightmare Before Christmas”

If you need an untraditional–yet somehow still traditional–take on a holiday story, then The Nightmare Before Christmas is a great pick. This animated film by Tim Burton follows Jack Skellington, the king of Halloween Town, as he tries to bring the Christmas spirit to his own homeland. Watching the two holidays come together is a fascinating juxtaposition that, with Tim Burton’s storytelling magic, works.

Where to stream: Disney+

4. “Home Alone”

Many will argue that Home Alone is the best Christmas movie of all time…and maybe they’re right. This story follows the main character played by a young Macaulay Cauklin as he navigates being accidentally left home alone during Christmas vacation. Not only does he indulge in the fact that he’s the sole being in a giant house, but he also has some fun pulling pranks on two wannabe burglars in the process.

Where to stream: Disney+

5. “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”

You’re not the mean one…Mr. Grinch is! How the Grinch Stole Christmas is one of Dr. Seuss’ best stories, and this film adaptation does it justice. The 2000 film stars Jim Carrey as the Grinch, and he hilariously brings this character to life during its quest to ruin Christmas for all of Whoville. Will he be successful in his quest?
